Your SplatMart Library, Now in Blender
Announcement · 2026-09-08 · 3 min read · by SplatMart Team
Meet SplatMart Bridge: connect your account, browse your splats, and import into Blender with less downloading, folder hunting, and switching between apps.
A good asset workflow should get you into your scene quickly. Until now, bringing a splat from your SplatMart library into Blender meant opening the website, downloading a file, finding it on your computer, and choosing it again in an importer. SplatMart Bridge brings that library into Blender so there is less file handling between choosing a splat and using it.
Download SplatMart Bridge for Blender 4.2 and later. The add-on is free. To display and render Gaussian splats, you also need a compatible splat renderer, such as 3DGS Render by KIRI Engine.
Browse your library where you work
Connect your SplatMart account from the Blender sidebar and approve the connection in your browser. Once connected, you can browse purchases, marketplace uploads, and supported generated splats, with thumbnails to help you recognise the asset you want.
Choose a splat and an available file format, then import it through your installed splat importer. Bridge handles the download and local cache, so you do not have to organise a new pile of files every time you try another asset.
Less administration, more scene building
- Fewer trips between apps. Browse and select your assets from Blender after connecting your account.
- Less folder hunting. Download files to a managed cache instead of tracking down browser downloads.
- Easier asset selection. Thumbnail previews and library search help you find the splat you want.
- Reuse local downloads. Cached files can be reused when valid, avoiding unnecessary repeat downloads.
- Keep asset details close. Bridge attaches creator, licence, and source information to imported objects.
This is especially useful when you are trying several splats in a scene, returning to a project, or bringing together assets from different SplatMart purchases and captures. It removes repetitive steps from that process; it does not change the quality of the source splat or replace the renderer.
Works alongside your splat renderer
SplatMart Bridge connects your library to Blender. Rendering is handled by a separate add-on. The built-in KIRI integration recognises its compatible PLY importer, so choose PLY when using that workflow. Check KIRI’s own compatibility notes for your Blender version before installing.
When an asset includes both PLY and SOG, Bridge lets you choose which to download. SOG needs an importer that supports it. If no compatible importer is installed, Bridge can still download the file to its cache for you to use with another tool.
Get started
- Download the ZIP from the Blender add-on page.
- In Blender, open Edit → Preferences → Get Extensions and choose Install from Disk from the menu. Select the ZIP and enable Splatmart Bridge.
- Open the 3D Viewport sidebar with N, choose Splatmart, and click Connect Splatmart. Approve the connection in your browser.
- Select a library asset and use Import into Scene with your compatible importer installed.
The connection gives Bridge read-only access to your library. Your assets stay in your SplatMart account, and their existing licences still apply.
