Introducing Leighton 2
Our fastest splat model yet: 2.4x faster than Leighton 1, up to 2,000 photos or 5 GB of video in one scene, and a new feature called Focus.
Today we're releasing Leighton 2, a new generation of our reconstruction model and the biggest leap forward SplatMart has made. It runs on a new architecture, from camera alignment to training, built around one goal: get you from capture to splat faster than ever. Leighton 2 is 2.4x faster than Leighton 1. It takes up to 2,000 photos in a single splat, and it learns to ignore the people and cars that pass through your shot.
- 2.4x faster than Leighton 1
- 2,000 photos in a single splat
- 5 GB of video in one splat
Faster than ever

Speed was the brief from the first line of code. On the same 430-photo capture, trained for the same length, Leighton 2 delivers a finished splat in 8.1 minutes. Leighton 1 needs 19.6.
| Leighton 2 | 8.1 min |
|---|---|
| Leighton 1 | 19.6 min |
Includes camera alignment. See notes.
Small captures come back almost straight away. Twenty photos take under a minute and a half, and a 20-second video about two minutes. That changes how you work on site: capture, check the splat before you pack up, and reshoot the corner you missed while you are still there.
Built for big spaces

Leighton 2 takes up to 2,000 photos or video frames in a single splat, up from 1,200 on Leighton 1. That's a whole floor, a building or a street captured as one scene instead of stitched-together pieces. In our largest test, Leighton 2 aligned every one of 2,000 photos of an aerial city capture and trained them into one splat.
Video works the same way. Record the whole walk-through in one go and upload it, up to 5 GB. Leighton 2 picks the sharpest frames from across the entire video, so you never have to cut it up first.

Introducing Focus

Real captures are messy. Someone walks through the room, a car drives past, a window throws a reflection. Leighton 1 had no way to tell those apart from the scene, so they could end up baked into the splat as ghosts and smears. Focus is how Leighton 2 learns which parts of each photo disagree with the rest of the capture and gives them less and less weight, so passers-by fade out and the space itself stays clean.
Focus is on by default at every quality, at no extra cost. People who stand still are kept, because sometimes they are the subject. Would rather keep everything? Set it to Mild or Off in Advanced settings.
One choice: quality

Leighton 1 asked you to pick a model and then a preset, and each model had its own photo limit and its own way of pricing. Leighton 2 comes down to one question: how much detail do you want?
- Light: up to 200,000 splats. Quick checks, small objects and drafts.
- Medium: up to 1 million splats. Everyday captures.
- High: up to 3 million splats. Rooms and detailed scenes. This is the default.
- Ultra: up to 10 million splats, trained on sharper 2,048-pixel images. Hero shots and the finest detail.
There is nothing else to pick. Exposure correction, auto clean-up and Focus are on at every quality. Advanced settings are still there when you want them, and custom settings cost the same as the lowest preset that covers them.
Simple pricing, 300 photos included
Every quality has one price, and it includes up to 300 photos or video frames. Bigger captures add a small fixed amount for each extra 100, all the way to 2,000. Everything else is included: every job runs at full speed, with Focus, exposure correction and auto clean-up at no extra cost.
| Quality | Credits | Each extra 100 photos |
|---|---|---|
| Light | 140 | +30 |
| Medium | 180 | +35 |
| High | 320 | +50 |
| Ultra | 950 | +115 |
Available today
Leighton 2 is available today in the Studio for every account. Open the create box, choose Leighton 2, add photos or a video, pick a quality and press Create. Leighton 1 stays available from the same menu, and every splat you have already made opens, downloads and edits as before.
We can't wait to see what you capture with it. Share your first Leighton 2 splats, and tell us what to build next, in the Discord.
